Summer In The City

Calling all teens who are not at camp this summer. Here's a perfect volunteer opportunity during the weekday that still allows you some time in the sun.

Check out Summer in the City, a non-profit volunteer organization that works with 40 community partners that was started by some nice local Jewish college boys several years ago and is still going strong.

This summer teens connected with some Detroit history by helping to clean debris from Michigan Central Depot in Detroit. Volunteers also work with inner-city children, beautify parks and much more.

Transportation is provided from various pick-up points. Kids work from 9-2 Tuesday through Friday through Aug. 14.
